[1/4 Update: This will be out beginning late February as a seasonal instead of a year-round beer according to the latest newsletter. Paul Hayden notes that this was previously available in 4-pks though it is moving to 6-pks.]
(Longmont, CO) – Left Hand Brewing got label approval last week for its Ginger Ale. The beer will now be called Good JuJu Ginger Ale instead of just JuJu Ginger Ale . . .
This is the third label to come from Moxie Sozo’s Charles Bloom (also responsible for 400 Pound Monkey which comes out late this month and Warrior IPA). Moxie Sozo’s Nate Dyer did the Fade to Black label. The labels are major improvements over the old ones and it looks like Left Hand Brewing has found a diamond in the rough with this creative agency.
The old JuJu label (pulled from Left Hand’s Facebook page) attached below for comparison purposes:
Thanks for the heads up on this. I do love the look of their new labels. I’m hoping that they end up redoing most of their labels as some of them have been around for a while and are in need of sprucing up a bit. Speaking of labels, New Belgium is going in a backwards direction with some of theirs – rather plain and generic looking – same with Great Divide. I’m sure printing cost has something to do with it.
Dave – yes, all of our labels will be redone over the course of this entire year. Glad you guys like our new design/direction!
Cheers,
Chris @ Left Hand Brewing
The JuJu is also switching to a spring seasonal. It will no longer be offered year round. They are also changing the package from 4pks to 6pks.
