(Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada Brewing will open up its 30th Anniversary Series with Fritz and Ken’s Ale in March.
The label reads, “Fritz Maytag, owner of San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing Company, is regarded as the founding father of the craft brewing movement. Frtiz agreed to guest brew this very special ale with us in honor of our 30th anniversary. As a nod to the dark ales and stouts that seduced both Fritz and Ken in the early years, we bring you this pioneering stout, a rich and roasted ale, perfect for aging, and worthy of your finest snifter.”
9.5% ABV and will be available in cork ‘n’ caged 750 mL’s.
Jack McAuliffe of New Albion, Fred Eckhardt and Charlie Papazian will be the other co-conspirators on these beers over the coming months. Given that Sierra Nevada has a website its going to launch for the series, you can probably expect to hear a lot more about these beers before long.
