(Woesten-Vleteren, BELGIUM) – Struise, ‘memba them?

Since the incident, I haven’t written a thing about the 10th ranked brewery in the world.

Struise is back in the news again though now that they have a bottle shop up online. The brewery tried to do this back in 2009 but shut it down after being open for only a little while (IIRC).

So now those of us in the U.S. who are willing to ante up for some special beers can do so without going through eBay. There are currently twelve beers up on the site. Among the highlights . . .

Both Struise Pannepot Reserva and Pannepot. Ranked 20th and 21st overall respectively on RateBeer.

Struise Black Albert, one of the beers that really helped jump-start this blog, is sold out though more will be available in mid-March.

“Shipment costs for 30 kg to USA should not exceed 104 euros,” according to the brewery’s Facebook page.
