(Paso Robles, CA) – Some news on the Firestone Walker Brewing and Nectar Ales fronts . . .
Firestone Walker Solace Unfiltered Ale received label approval this week. Final ABV rings in at 6%. The beer is scheduled to debut in six-packs next month though it will make a surprise appearance on tap tomorrow. From Facebook, “We’ll be pouring a trial version of Solace tomorrow in the Paso tasting room. 1-7pm. $3 per pint special.” Initially available only in California, it will roll out into other markets after that.
The brewery is also making a name change to a beer under its Nectar Ales line. Humboldt Hemp Ale will now simply be known as Humboldt Brown. The reason, according to Firestone Walker’s Jamie Smith, is that the brewery wants to introduce it on the East Coast sometime this year, and the name change is required in order to do that.
I’m not exactly seasoned on label law though it is possible that the brewery is saving itself a potential headache as the beer enters more markets. Remember the “Legal Weed” fiasco?
I met one of your Reps in Encinitas, “good guy”, he said go to Bev Mo for Brown. They dropped you. Where are you ?? Local Orange County.
Thank you
AC
Sorry Anthony but I don’t work for the brewery.
