(Athens, GA) – Terrapin Beer Co. will add Monk’s Revenge, an alumnus of the Side Project Series, to its Monster Beer Tour this year.
This one joins Terrapin Gamma Ray as the second Side Project beer to be added to the MBT. With Terrapin Rye Squared available now, Gamma Ray slotted as a late spring release, and this beer already in the tanks as of mid-January, I expect that Monk’s Revenge will be available late this winter.
This beer hits nearly 100 IBUs and uses a mix of seven hops: Magnum, Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe.
“This Belgian IPA has a malt bill of a Belgian Tripel and a hop bill of a Double IPA. The yeast I chose for this beer comes from one of the 7 Trappist breweries.
Believe it or not, this is the first time in my professional brewing career that I have used dextrose (corn syrup) in a Terrapin brew. True to style no doubt.”
