(Escondido, CA) – Stone | Firestone Walker | 21st Amendment El Camino (Un)Real Black Ale hit stores today.
. . . And by “stores,” I mean South Bay Drugs. As of Monday afternoon, I hadn’t seen it reported as in stock anywhere else yet. It hits taps at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on Tuesday. Stone later announced on Facebook that it would begin to hit distribution this week with some details as to where it will eventually land:
“Our latest collaboration beer, ’21st Amendment / Firestone Walker / Stone El Camino (Un)Real Black Ale’ (http://is.gd/aThD5), will begin percolating through the distribution system today to AZ NY MA WA CO OR & CA (our apologies to those outside these states, but we can only brew so much.) It’s a jet-black, roasted, hoppy hybrid ale with fennel seeds, Mission figs, and pink peppercorns.”
Back-of-the-label images are attached below.
Other notes from Stone . . .
Wondering about the next collaboration? More on that later.
Greg Koch announced earlier this month that Stone Brewing has added Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale to its year-round production schedule. You can catch the rest of the Draft Mag interview on YouTube.
The brewery also got keg label approvals for a “Belgo” addition of Old Guardian Barley Wine and Dry-Hopped Arrogant Bastard.
Finally, it sounds like the Discovery Channel paid the brewery a visit. Hmmm . . . [3/23 Update: This may or may not have something to do with waterless urinals at the brewery and environmental initiatives.]
