(Charlotte, NC) – New brewery news out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
This info comes from Jon Fulcher, Four Friends Brewing Head Brewer:
Q: Can you tell me a bit about your brewery?
A: Incorporated with the name and concept/desire in Nov. 2007; saving money/eating Ramen noodles daily in February 2008; started building brewery in January 2009; completed brewery build-out and licensing nightmares February 2010. The Four Friends are my Bohemian Beauty wife (Beth) and I working diligently with my 5th grade bud Mark Kaminsky and his beautiful wife Allison.
We are focused on British and Belgian Ales exclusively and target our efforts towards direct distribution to restaurants and bars in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg area of North Carolina. We will produce a small quantity of bottled beers and offer them in a few exclusive locations in Charlotte.
Q: What beers do you currently offer?
A: Bohemian Beauty – the best damn English Pale Ale you ever drank; but less pretentious than me. [5.2% ABV]
Queen City Red – Irish Red Ale done RIGHT. 6.2% a.b.v. malty and crisp
Gold Rush – reformulated to a more “busty blonde” at 6.2% a.b.v. w/ spicy habits
Extinction – Imperial IPA at 9.5% a.b.v. brewed with 5 hop varieties and non stop hop drops . . . a real test of your manhood
Queen City Red will be available all year while all other varieties are seasonals and small batch
runs.
The beers are not presently available outside of Charlotte though the brewery will try to accommodate as demand dictates.
[Each of these beers have received label approval and are cleared to be sold in 22 oz. bombers and on draft.]
Q: When will these be available?
A: Bohemian Beauty starting 04/15

Hi Bill, I’d recommend calling the brewery to see if they have a contract with a local beer distributor.
Can’t wait to come down from Ohio to visit the brewery! I’ve designed several micro and large breweries, and I’ve been asked to see their plant in operation!
