(Chico, CA) – Three beers from Sierra Nevada Brewing received label approval within the past two weeks. They must be busy over there.
Information hasn’t yet been released on Sierra Nevada Hellraiser and Idle Trellis. Rhymes Wit is a Beer Camp beer as is Hoptimum Double IPA which hit taps in February (and is probably almost sold out but I added it for good measure).
According to Papago Brewing‘s Facebook Page: “Looks like the name of the Sierra Nevada Camp beer will be ‘Rhymes Wit (Orange)’ (with a pic of an orange instead of the word orange), My 2 ideas- U2 Wit (pronounced You Twit) and 2-wit-r (pronounced twitter) got shot down. This will be the first wit ever made that I know of that will have locally grown mandarins (peel… and pulp) added to the boil, hopback and torpedo. Papago should get about 7 kegs out of it.”
There is a whole thread on Sierra Nevada Hoptimum Double IPA at Beer Advocate. Apparently it was quite the polarizing beer.
Had two of these at EBF; the choco-chili stout was pretty good, but the Hoptimum was fantastic.
