(Lake Mills, WI) – Tyranena Brewing‘s sent out a couple solid updates on new brewery happenings this month . . .

From the latest newsletters (sign up on the home page):

“Our summer Brewers Gone Wild! beer is La Femme Amere (“The Bitter Woman” in French), a Wisconsin Belgique-Style India Pale Ale. It is a variation of Bitter Woman brewed with a Belgian yeast strain, some Belgian specialty malts and some Belgian candy sugar. We have been evaluating different yeast strains and fermentation temperatures and need to decide if we want it more IPA-like or more Belgian-like.”

“Future Brewers Gone Wild! Series Beer Finishing Fermenting. A future beer in the series is already in the works… an amped up variation of our Down ‘n Dirty Chocolate Oatmeal Stout that will be aged in bourbon barrels on cocoa nibs and vanilla beans from Madagascar. Should come out sometime this coming winter. I know I am going to complain all summer long with these extra bourbon barrels in my way!”

“Next On Tap: Cabernet Barrel-Aged Brown Ale. This would be from the barrels we received last autumn… that have had brown ale aging in them for at least 6 months… too lazy to check the exact date. Will be going on tap when Shaggin’ In The Wood disappears. The small batch size means variable carbonation levels as we will once again carbonate in the keg.”
