(Lawrence, KS) – All four flagships that Free State Brewing is planning to bottle have received label approval.
[5/21 Update: “We’re pleased to announce that bottles of Free State beer are now available at liquor stores in Lawrence and Douglas County. Friday marks the first day of sale for six packs of Ad Astra Ale, Copperhead Pale Ale, Wheat State Golden and Oatmeal Stout.
We brewed and bottled the beers at our East Side Brewery in East Lawrence, and worked with Callahan Creek for package design and Standard Beverage for Kansas distribution. We’d also like to thank Mainline Printing and Lawrence Paper Company for their efforts to meet our packaging requirements.
As additional shipments of beer permit, Standard will expand distribution of our beers to Topeka, Johnson County, Kansas City Kansas, and Wichita and other locations around Kansas. We hope our beers travel widely in the state of Kansas this summer.”]
The brewery has not yet announced plans for their upcoming bottles other than the fact that they are coming at some point. Ad Astra, Oatmeal Stout and Wheat State Golden have been approved while Copperhead Pale Ale is on deck.
Free State Brewing is currently listed among the top 100 breweries in the world on RateBeer but more for their specialty beers. None of the flagships above have hit the 80th percentile for their respective styles.
