(Boston, MA) – Boston Beer Co. has chosen the two styles that will square off in this year’s Samuel Adams Beer Lover’s Choice 2010 contest.
Each year, Boston Beer takes votes on two recipes that it serves at festivals, open house events, etc. Last year’s winner, Samuel Adams Noble Pils, beat out what looked like a Pale Ale or IPA. As a result, Noble Pils hit the market this past spring in its own six-pack (and 12-pack).
Boston Beer will once again be polling drinkers this summer to decide the 2010 winner. The contestants are a Belgian-style IPA and an American Rye Ale.
In 2009, Noble Pils beat out Latitude 48, the IPA that was just released only as a part of the Summer Pack.

Brian,
Can’t believe I missed that before. Definitely a typo& just fixed. I think Belgian-style IPA just won.
