(Boulder, CO) – This may be the one case I know of where slapping the word, “Premium,” on a beer label may not be the kiss of death.
Back in January, it was announced that Avery Brewing would be installing a canning line at the brewery this year. The beers didn’t make into cans by May 1st as originally intended but they shouldn’t be too far off into the future with the current timetable being end of June/July.
Making the voyage to cans will be Ellie’s Brown Ale, White Rascal, India Pale Ale and a hoppy pilsner that just got TTB label approval this week, Avery Joe’s Premium American Pilsner. The brewery hasn’t given much info on the availability of the cans though three of the existing brands are year-round beers.
Here’s the description on Joe’s Pilsner: “You’re holding a contemporary rendition of a classic style. Hopped with purpose, Joe’s is beautifully bitter and dry with an abundance of floral, Noble German hops. Uber-sessionable. Utterly American. This is Premium American Pilsner.” 4.7% ABV.
