(Boulder, CO) – Avery Brewing sent out a newsletter update yesterday with detailed info on the release of Avery Seventeen.
“How many of you can remember TEN, the first Avery Anniversary Ale that we released back in 2003? What about our ELEVEN Anniversary Ale, which, in addition to TEN, inspired us to create an Imperial IPA on a yearly basis (the next time you have a Maharaja Imperial IPA please raise a glass to the Anniversary series!!).
For seven years our Anniversary releases have given you all manner of strange ales, from 100% brettanomyces fermented concoctions to Weizen Doppelbocks and beyond. This year we’re changing things up yet again: SEVENTEEN, which is best described as a “Dark Study in German Hops,” is our first ever Anniversary Lager! We suggest you head to the closest bookstore, errr… liquor store rather, grab a bottle or two and get to work! Best study session of your life, guaranteed!
SEVENTEEN Anniversary Lager will debut at a release party at the Avery Tap Room and Barrel-Aging Cellars on Friday, May 14th from 5-8PM. Live music, Rosser’s Fish Tacos and the atmosphere of the Barrel-Aging Cellars will accompany the release of our first anniversary lager!
Live outside of Colorado? Look for SEVENTEEN on the shelf in 22oz. bombers and on draft at your favorite beer-bar beginning around the end of May.
