(Nantucket, MA) – Cisco Brewers recently released a brand-new beer in bottles and on draft.
The Woods is a series of limited barrel-aged beers. The latest, Cherry Woods, is now available around New England in both 750 mL bottles and on draft.
Chef, Matt Jennings, from La Laiterie in Providence describes the beer as such on Beer Advocate, “Tart, acidic, lightly carbonated, amazing sour cherry and cherry wood notes (pleasing & gentle bitters), and the color will blow your mind. This is the New England beer world’s answer to Rosé. […] It is an amazing beer with food. Just like Rosé, for me it screams to be paired with rich, unctuous, creamy cheeses, charcuterie, richer foods and it does a great job of providing balance and structure to a meal.”
Though New Glarus Wisconsin Belgian Red is a one-of-a-kind beer, this could present a viable alternative for folks in New England looking for a fruit beer that don’t have access to New Glarus.
Cisco Brewers also just recently joined over 80 fellow U.S. craft breweries in offering its Whale’s Tale Pale Ale in cans for the first time.
