Hopworks Rise-Up Red due in two weeks

(Portland, OR) – Hopworks Urban Brewery is bringing another gold medal winner to the bottle.


HUB Rise-Up Red Northwest Red Ale will be released as a summer seasonal in 22 oz. bottles (available on draft as well) beginning on Monday, May 17th. According to Brewmaster-Owner, Christian Ettinger, the brewery is producing 300 barrels of it and the supply is expected to last through September. It follows the recent release of HUB Ace of Spades, a fellow 2009 GABF Gold Medalist.

Label description: “This full bodied NW Red is mahogany smooth and hopped to the rafters with locally grown Cascade and Centennial hops. Raise your pints in the air, Rise Up, gather round, Organic Beer from the ground. 5.8% ABV. 13.5 Deg. Plato. 60 IBU.”

In other news, Hopworks just hosted Portland Cheers to Belgian Beers with an attendance of 1,800 Belgian beer lovers. On Saturday, August 28th, Hopworks will host second annual BiKETOBEERFEST- the world’s first bike-in Oktoberfest party featuring twelve Oregon bike builders, five bands and fifteen organic Hopworks beers.

Hopworks was also recently featured on The Today Show and Ettinger made an appearance on the Brew Happy podcast.
