(Milwaukee, WI) – Another brewery embraces the cans.
Up next in the canvolution is Milwaukee Brewing Co. which will do its first package run of cans this Wednesday. Louie’s Demise and Flaming Damsel are first on the schedule and will be featured in 16 oz. 4-packs. The cans will be available year-round, only in Wisconsin.
According to Sales Manager, Jason Anderson, the brewery also plans to bring its ABV (Attitude by Volume) Line to cans. The seasonal series includes four beers: Monkey Paw English Strong Ale, Louie’s Resurrection (aged in Bourbon), Devil’s Advocate and Godzilla Imperial Wit.
Here are the beer descriptions off of the brewery website:
Louie’s Demise: “An amber ale with exceptional balance and smoothness. Brewed with a blend of specialty malts. Balanced by a choice blended of hops. True story… 1886 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, great uncle Louie was cracked over the head with a beer glass and killed. Louie’s story is one of many Wisconsin tavern legends that gives life and color to our heritage. Drink one for uncle Louie and remember: today’s barroom story might just be tomorrow’s legend.”
Flaming Damsel: “Traditional Bavarian lager delicately hopped for balance. At the height of the beer garden days in Milwaukee, brewers needed fantastic entertainment to attract the crowds of thirsty locals. One of these acts involved the Flaming Damsel. This mysterious lady made her living by lighting herself afire and diving from a high platform over the river. Always a repeat performance!”
