(Seattle, WA) – Another rock ‘n roll co-branding beer is upon us.
I’m not sure what it is about beer and rock ‘n roll that go together so well but the trend is really picking up in the Northwest more than anywhere else. Yesterday, I wrote about Maiden the Shade and in late April, I covered Seattle’s Whip It Ale (by Queensryche’s Michael Wilton). Now, fellow Seattleans, Elysian Brewing, are going to release a beer in bottles named after a local rock radio show.
Elysian The Men’s Room Original Red is available on tap year-round but will be released in 22 oz. bottles for the first time beginning next month. Sales Rep, Laura Stoudt, said that it should be available in bottles for the rest of the year.
Stats:
ABV: 5.6%
Hops: Bittered with Chinook and finished with Cascade
Malts: Pale, Munich, Cara-Red, C-60 and small amounts of Special B and chocolate malts
As for “The Men’s Room,” this is a radio show that is aired weekdays 2-6pm on KISW 99.9 FM.
Important note: A portion of the net proceeds from every Mens Room Original Red sold goes to helping support the families of our military vets through the VA Puget Sound Fisher House and Ft. Lewis Fisher House.
