(Traverse City, MI) – North Peak Brewing plans to add a fourth beer to its year-round lineup.
Joining Siren, Diabolical and Majestic will be a Dry-hopped Wheat India Pale Ale called Vicious. The beer has only been available on tap up to this point. Vicious will be available in 6-pks (stubby 11.5 oz.’ers) in Michigan only at launch but the brewery plans to expand distribution outside of the state late in the year according to Northern United Brewing VP of Sales, Michael Turriff.
The description reads, “Beware of beer. There, we warned you. The frothy head, and pungent, piney dryhopped scent (from Cascade and Amarillo hops) should alert you to the brew’s imminent attack on your senses. Next, Cascade, Perle and Willamette hops will batter your palette with bitter ferocity. Finally, Pale, Crystal (30 and 75) and wheat malts converge in a cloudy, thick body and give you a smooth kiss of sweet death – and leave you howling for more!” 6.7% ABV, 66.7 IBUs.
Note on those Cascade hops . . . they are grown about two miles from the brewery on the Old Mission peninsula.
