Odell Brewing announces limited release of former Single Batch brew
(Fort Collins, CO) – On June 19, 2010, Odell Brewing released a single batch of Double Pilsner. Only 100 barrels of the brew will be available in a limited distribution area.
Pilsner beer gets its name from the Bohemian city Pilsen, where it was first developed. Double Pilsner is a tribute to the classic Bohemian Pilsner, and boasts a strong German pilsner malt profile. Munich malts and Caramalt are balanced by Saaz and whole flower Tettnanger hops.
“It is a kicked up pilsner,” said Dan Becker, chief beer drinker for TheFullPint.com. “Odell nailed the style, then took it to a whole ‘nother level.”
In 2008, Odell Brewing took home a silver for Double Pilsner at the World Beer Cup®. Beer enthusiasts can take home a six pack for $10.99-$11.99.
The brewery will celebrate the release of Double Pilsner on June 19, 2010 in the brewery’s Tap Room. Festivities begin with the tapping at 4:00 pm; followed by a toast at 5:00 pm. Brewery guests can try the beer, enjoy live music, and purchase sandwiches from local favorite, Pickle Barrel.
