STRAWBERRY SHORTSCAKE FINAL LABEL ELK

(Bellaire, MI) – More labels and updates from Short’s Brewing.

I asked Short’s Scott Newman-Bale for yet another timeline for the new bottles and he delivered. Plum Rye Bock, The Good Samaritan, The Wizard are tentative/TBD though Short’s Short’s Cake will be released in August. The Good Samaritan is listed on the website under “Beers of the Past” so this one looks to be coming out of retirement. Here’s the scoop from Newman-Bale:

“Richs Rye comes out next week, Spruce Pilsner the week after. Both are limited to only a few hundred cases statewide.

After that Nicie Spicie will be out in kegs and bottles in early July. The supply of that will be more but still limited basically it should be around for a few weeks at least, especially on tap.

After that Strawberry Shortcake, Key Lime Pie, and maybe the Smore stout and Bloody Beer will all come out sometime in August. Pistachio may be in the mix as well.”

Label Descriptions:

The Wizard – Barley Wine Ale with Raisins (Brewed on Devil’s Night and boiled for six hours and 66 minutes)
Plum Rye Bock – Lager brewed with plums
Strawberry Short’s Cake – Golden Ale brewed with fresh strawberries and milk sugar
The Good Samaritan – Amber Ale brewed with Apple Cider
