(Hooksett, NH) – White Birch Brewing, still relatively in its infancy, has released 23 different kinds of beer already. What’s a couple more?

Arriving this week is White Birch Espresso Imperial Stout. Per Founder/Brewmaster, Bill Herlicka, about 40 cases of this will be released this week in New Hampshire only. It is expected to arrive at Bert’s by Friday. Says Herlicka, “Theres’ just not enough to make it south this year. Next year we’ll work on making more for our friends south of NH. As for this batch, I’m really happy with how it came out. We used fresh roasted coffee beens compliments of our friend John Anastas. He’s a master home coffee roaster and it really shows in the aroma and how the coffee flavors meld and compliment the stout.”

On deck is White Birch Berliner Weisse. Per the label, “It has been said that Berliner Weisse was referred to by Napoleon’s troops as the ‘Champagne of the North’ due to its lively and elegant character. Today this style has been described by some as the most purely refreshing beer in the world. Our approach was to brew this beer with Lactobacillus for a refreshing and authentic interpretation of a classic summer refresher.” Whereas many of White Birch’s bottles are released in 22’s or 750’s this will be available in 500 mL’s. 7% ABV. Herlicka said he hoped to release this “by the third week of June” so it looks like that will be on shlves either this week or next week.

Finally, White Birch just got picked up by Bella Vista Beer Distributors in Pennsylvania. “We plan to start with the Belgian Style Pale Ale, Dubbel and if the timing works, a surprise beer. Maybe a bit more. It’s hard to say as September is far away, but around the corner, too.”
