Introducing Ass Kisser Ales

(Fort Worth, TX) – Though the humor in the branding may hint otherwise, these guys are serious when it comes to beermaking.

Ass Kisser Ales launched its inaugural beer, Ass Kisser Double IPA, last month. The new brand is brewed down at Rahr and Sons Brewing in Fort Worth. But wait, Rahr suffered the roof collapse and brewery closure, did it not? Ass Kisser Ales’ Scott Fore explains, “The first batch was in the tank before the roof collapsed and was not damaged. We had to wait to bottle due to the state of the brewery which is now operational. The second and third batches are in the tank now.” The bottles are produced using a new 4-head bomber filler installed at Rahr according to COOP Ale Works’ Chase Healey (so perhaps we’ll even see some Rahr bombers in the future).

Ass Kisser Double IPA is described on the label as “a rich, malty ale that has warm, caramel notes that open up as it warms in the flass. It pairs with foods with spice and aromas like Asian 5 spice or curries.” Ass Kisser is dry-hopped with Warrior and reaches 9% on the ABV scale.

Though the beer is made in Texas, 22 oz. bottles are currently available only in Connecticut, Vermont (with Capital Candy Wholesalers) and Tennessee. It will be available in Florida later this month. Ass Kisser will roll out to more states by the end of the year.

Fore hints that Ass Kisser Porter will join the Double IPA as the second year-round beer in the portfolio. “There will also be one or two seasonal beers which may include a blending of Shiraz [presumably from Fore’s Rocland Estate Family Winery] with a Wit.”
