(Aberdeen, SCOTLAND) – Mikkeller and BrewDog continue their collaborations . . .

[7/22 Update: The beer label has received approval for importation to the U.S. in its original form.]

In 2008, the two sides first joined forces to create Devine Rebel, a big Barley Wine that was re-released earlier this year. The beer earned a 97 on RateBeer.

Now BrewDog is announcing that another collaboration, a Double IPA that hits 9.5% ABV and will be packaged in 11.2 oz. singles. Per the brewery blog:

“Question: What do you get if you blend Hardcore IPA and I Beat You together and then add even more dry hops?

Answer: I Hardcore You. Introducing a new type of collaboration. Coming Soon from Mikkeller and BrewDog.”

No word on whether this will be shipped to the States but it sounds like a beer that is geared toward the American HopHead market. The TTB has shown inconsistency with what it will let by in terms of label images so it would be interesting to see whether this label would have to be tweaked.
