(Grimstad, NORWAY) – Nøgne Ø received label approval for a new beer to hit the U.S.
Nøgne Ø recently brewed batch #500, an Imperial IPA, which is now on tap back home. Fortunately, the brewery is bottling some of it and some of that’s going to be sent over the Atlantic. General Manager, Scott Larrick, said that it won’t be shipped before August (tentative). Approximately two pallets, or 180 cases, of the first batch will be shipped to the U.S. and more batches of this recipe will be brewed later.
Label description: “Nothing is like celebrating your own milestones. This is a celebration of our 500th batch of beer. It was brewed with joy and splendor; the brewer wore a suit, and a TV station filmed the event. As a base for this, we have elected to play with numbers: five hops, 100 IBUs, 10% ABV. Indeed it is an Imperial India Pale Ale. Big and bold.” 10% ABV, 100 IBUs.
Ingredients: Malted barley, malted Wheat, Malted Rye, Malted Oats, Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial, Pacific Gem and Nelson Sauvin hops and English ale yeast
Nøgne Ø is imported exclusively through the Shelton Brothers.
