(BOULDER, CO) – (June 29, 2010) – Boulder-based New Planet Gluten Free Beer introduces their second style of gluten-free Colorado craft beer: 3R Raspberry Ale-with statewide distribution. 3R Raspberry Ale is a well-balanced ale beer made from fermented sorghum and corn, natural raspberry puree, orange peel, hops, and yeast. Not overly sweet, the Oregon grown fruit puree creates a beautiful body color with a natural raspberry flavor. The beer has 160 calories and is 5% ABV. The suggested retail price for the 22 oz bomber style bottle is $5.99.

New Planet Beer was started by Pedro Gonzalez, who is himself gluten intolerant, along with his wife Seneca Murley. “When I first learned I had to remove gluten from my diet I was amazed how many products contained the protein, and ended up with very restricted food choices. But after a period of time new Gluten-Free (“GF”) products started popping up. I really missed craft beer so I started drinking GF beer, but I really couldn’t find a brand that truly satisfied. I began my quest to make a truly special gluten-free craft beer that everyone could enjoy.”
