Ommegang BPA going year-round beginning in September

Ommegang BPA

(Cooperstown, NY) – More Ommegang news to report today . . .

Ommegang BPA debuted in 750s back in March as part of the Specialty Beer Initiative. I alluded to the possibility that this could become a staple 12 oz. offering later in 2010 and that is now official.

Marketing and Press Relations Director, Larry Bennett, confirmed today that this is the only limited edition (SBI) beer being released in 12 oz. bottles. After (or for some areas, along with) the rollout of Ommegang Cup o Kyndnes, the new package (presumably 4-pk) will hit shelves nationally beginning in late September. It may not always be in stock at the start but the brewery will work toward that goal in the months after the re-launch.

Beer reviews for this one have been quite favorable. Ratings are in the 99th percentile for the Belgian Pale Ale style on RateBeer. I can personally vouch that it is a solid beer and quite refreshing on a hot summer day [ed. note: today was a high 90s scorcher.].
