(Santa Rosa, CA) – Russian River Brewing has released Batch 5 of Supplication and Batch 4 of Sanctification.

Russian River’s Natalie Cilurzo announced on the website within the last few hours that the new batches of Sanctification and Supplication are now available for purchase at the pub. Supplication should be easy enough to get though Santification is a different story.

The beer has already been available for several days now at the pub and there are only around 150 or 200 cases per an email from Cilurzo (via Beer Advocate). Given the sudden influx of trading forum posts (35 or so in six days), that’s telling as to what the demand is for this beer. It may not sell out within hours like Pliny the Younger did but you might consider calling the brewery to see how long they think that the supply will last.

Sanctification is, as mentioned, a very limited release available on tap only at the pub and in 750s (limit 6 per person). Next week, bottles will be distributed to local beer accounts including Healthy Spirits within the “San Francisco Bay Area and North Bay” areas only. Healthy Spirits ships though I don’t know what their limited release policy is. This beer has been working its magic for a while considering the brewery thought this batch might be released back in February for Pliny the Younger Day.

Supplication should be distributed as normal in the brewery’s 375ml bottle format and Healthy Spirits in San Francisco is just one location that reported it as already in stock. Pretty much every brand that Russian River offers has received label approval for the 375 ml format at this point except Sanctification. Note that this is a different batch of Supplication than the one released in February.
