News and notes from around the beer web . . .

Half Acre Beer Co. announces the release of three upcoming beers including Bairn Farmhouse Belgian-Style Ale:

“Bairn will be available in both bombers and draft at the brewery, plus some jaunts around town. This beer is an ode to all things Phil. Our friend, coworker and brewing confidant, Phil Wymore, has been busy having a child and gearing up to start his own brewery in St. Louis. This beer is a nod to his beautiful little girl, Lily — probably the most sincere and “nice” label you see come out of Half Acre. So, as Phil departs from Half Acre he’s leaving us and you with this Saison brewed with lemon and chamomile.”

Cigar City Brewing announces the release of four new upcoming beers including a new collaboration beer:

“On Thursday and Friday we team up with our good buddy Bob Sylvester of St. Somewhere Brewing in Tarpon Springs to produce a Black Saison Ale in our first collaboration with this very stellar local brewery tucked away in Tarpon Springs! More to come about this beer, but I expect it will be big (knowing Joey and Wayne), with some funk courtesy of Bob’s brilliance, use of spices and of course yeast!”

Flossmoor Station announced that it will “have a double bottle release of Beezlebeer and Collaborative Evil at the same time in mid-September, date TBA right now.” They also announced release dates on some upcoming draft offerings.

Finally, The Full Pint has details on the latest Reserve Society releases from The Bruery. 100% Barrel Fermented Autumn Maple and Gunga Galunga (Provision Series) are among the beers going on sale exclusively tomorrow. The Bruery also announced that the Black Tuesday release will fall on October 26th.

  1. He is Phil Wymore from the story. “Phil Wymore has been busy having a child and gearing up to start his own brewery in St. Louis.”
