(Kalamazoo, MI) – Two more label approvals for Bell’s Brewery have come through this week.
[8/22 Update: Bell confirmed that Hopslam mini-kegs will not be released until January along with bottles which makes more sense.]
Bell’s The Wild One Ale is described on the back label as a “Belgian-style sour beer that’s aged in oak barrels for one year.” This is a beer that has hit the fest circuit and been available on tap occasionally. That said, I have no information on availability or distribution of bottles at the moment.
Bell’s will also introduce a second beer to mini-kegs for the first time later this year according to Marketing Director, Laura Bell. That wasn’t an error. I did say that Hopslam mini-kegs are coming this year though this will be “a very limited release.” I’m guessing that the lion’s share of the hoppy seasonal will be brewed as it normally is in the later part of the winter. Bell’s Winter White Ale is the other 2010 mini-keg debut, arriving this winter.
If/when I get more information, I will send it out.
