(Knoxville, IA) – Peace Tree Brewing debuts its latest seasonal, Cornucopia.

The beer just went on tap this week and is due in bottles soon in 6-packs:

Per the brewery blog, “Late summer brings some of the best in local produce and Joe has made the best of it with Cornucopia, his farmhouse style ale brewed with Iowa Sweet Corn. This was one of the first brews he made last year to appeal to the locals around Knoxville and it was met lots of enthusiasm. Originally, it was informally called Iowa Corn Beer. Over a couple of pints last spring as we were planning our fall, the name Cornucopia was thrown out, probably by Joe, and it stuck. It’s catchy, fun and a little silly.

Due to all the sugar in the corn stalks this brew feremented about 2 weeks longer than expected. However it is in the conditioning stage now and we have tapped a few early kegs for the taproom. It is a lovely light brew with a hint of sweetness. Bottling will begin next week and we will do one more big batch while we have some sweet corn left. Get it while you can this fall because it truly is a seasonal made with a seasonal ingredient.”
