(Boston, MA) – Boston Beer Co. has listened to its customers: Samuel Adams White Ale will return this winter.
Over the course of the past several months, I’ve moderated several dozen heated comments toward Boston Beer Co. over its replacing White Ale as a spring seasonal with Noble Pils. In a conference call this past spring, brewery management cited the introduction of the Noble Pils spring seasonal as a harbinger for its growth in the first quarter. Still, the decision to swap out White Ale didn’t please everybody.
With the recent revamp of its website, the brewery has posted a few new tidbits about its seasonal and specialty programs. Among the new findings is that White Ale will be re-introduced this winter as part of the winter mixed pack. Joining it will be Holiday Porter and Old Fezziweg and likely three other brands to be named.
In addition, Cranberry Lambic is now listed as a winter seasonal (Nov. to Jan.) apparently on its own.
