(Durham, NC) – Cans from the first North Carolina craft brewery to operate an automated canning line hit the streets.
The Herald-Sun reports, “Beginning this week, two varieties of Triangle Brewing Company beers are due to hit the shelves of retailers, among them Whole Foods, Weaver Street Market and Sam’s Quik Shop. The first rollout will be in Durham and Orange counties, said Miller. The company plans to distribute in Wake County early in 2011, he added.
The varieties that customers will see on the shelf are examples of what Tufts calls the company’s “flagship beer” — Belgian Style Golden Ale (in black cans) and Belgian Style White Ale (in yellow cans). The company refers to them as their “Genuine Durham Ales.” (Two other cans for other varieties are in the works, and may be released next year, Tufts said.)”
First Beernews coverage of Triangle Brewing cans with Triangle Belgian-Style Golden Ale was this past spring.
