(Downingtown, PA) – Victory Brewing gets approval for its Saison du BUFF label.
As most know by now, Saison du BUFF, the Stone Brewing / Dogfish Head / Victory collaboration, was to be released three times, brewed once at each brewery’s facility. The trio brewed the first batch at Stone earlier this year and just a few weeks ago, Dogfish Head got approval for its label as well. This happened despite Dogfish Head being listed as releasing the beer in August after Victory Brewing was to releases its own version in July (per the initial press release). And then July came and went without Victory releasing the beer.
Well, this week, Victory Brewing finally got approval for its label and a recent tweet indicates that the beer is just a few weeks away. Dogfish Head will end up beating them to the punch though because they tweeted on Friday that their version of the beer is now available at the Milton brewery and just shipped to wholesalers.
Meanwhile, the brewery will have its hands full this week with the installation of “eight giant 440 barrel fermenters,” according to an exclusive press release from Beer Advocate. “These eight fermenters are capable of boosting Victory’s beer production capacity by 50%, or 33,000 barrels per year. This sets total capacity at approximately 100,000 barrels.” The press release also notes that Victory is up 24% over 2009 in terms of wholesale shipments so far.
Might want to re-edit this article.
1. Victory is not based in Harrisburg.
2. The following line needs an edit. “And then July came and went without either Victory releasing the beer. “

Thanks, David. I consider myself a copy-paste writer. Things don’t flow naturally for me so I piece them together in a weird way. And then with all the HTML code mingled in and being too lazy to edit, forget about it..
I’ll make these fixes right now.
