(Easton, PA) – Here’s the latest on Weyerbacher Mike and some other brewery tidbits.
[10/19 UPDATE: Via Beer Advocate, “This Saturday, October 23 at the brewery from Noon to 3 will be the relase of Mike, the latest in our brewers select series of one-offs. Mike is a Belgian-style Dubbel, at 7.6% abv. A fruity, caramelly nose is followed by a pleasantly malty palate with notes of candi sugar and the fruit you expect in a Belgian style. Finish is slightly malty with a hint of treacle. You can sample it for free just by showing up. Also available for purchase in a solid case or a mixed case. 60 cases only. Rest has been kegged into 63 halves which are shipping to wholesalers in PA, NJ, FL, NE, and MN.”]
From the last newsletter:
Head Brewer Chris Wilson says, “While we have thoroughly enjoyed brewing batch after batch after batch of Imperial Pumpkin Ale, we are happy to get our creative juices flowing again with the Brewer’s Select Series. Things are a bit compacted with Mike being released a little late due to production of Pumpkin, Fest, etc. and with November needing to be released in, well, November (just seems right). That means that within a few weeks [posted on 9/16 so early October] you’ll get the pleasure to try two new Brewer’s Select beers! Things could change, but here is the plan for now. Mike will be a Belgian Dubbel and November will be a Coffee-Infused Brown Ale for the holidays.”
It should also be noted that there is actually a Weyerbacher sales representative that goes by WeyerbacherMike on Twitter. I imagine that he will be grabbing at least a case.
Imperial Pumpkin sales are going well and AutumnFest and Harvest Ale are also now available on shelves.
