New labels from Sierra Nevada, Shmaltz Brewing, Epic Brewing and J.W. Lees.
Last year, two heavyweight breweries, Sierra Nevada Brewing and Dogfish Head, teamed up to brew Life and Limb. They held back some of the beer and threw it into whiskey barrels and will be releasing it as Wood-Aged Life and Limb on tap, presumably later this year. It’s been in the barrels for over a year at this point. Don’t expect it in bottles though I have been wrong before.
Shmaltz Brewing‘s new He’Brew Vertical Jewbelation beer, part of the new 8-pack, got approved this week just in time for release. More info on it here…
J.W. Lee’s Harvest Ale, an 11.5% English Barleywine, will soon return to shelves in the U.S. for its 26th year. For those who like to cellar beers, different vintages can be purchased on the brewery website though you may need to call to see what is available.
Utah’s Epic Brewing got approval for Brainless on Cherries, a Belgian-style golden ale aged in French oak with cherries. The brewery said in a newsletter early this month that the beer was about three to four months away from release. Look for it to be available in 22 oz. bottles in early 2011.
