In this edition: Three Floyds, Dogfish Head and Half Acre Beer Co…with one-liners from Deschutes Brewery, Oskar Blues, Pike Brewing and Oakshire Brewing.

On Saturday night, October 23, Pelican will host a 10th anniversary party with a concert and the release of its 10xLP boxset. Three Floyds is joining in on the fun with a special release brew, The Creeper Doppelbock. Per Pelican’s Facebook page, the beer will be available on tap at the show though it is unknown whether bottles will be available that night. “Bottles will be available at select retailers and the 3 Floyds Brewpub following the event. Also we’re doing a party at Big Star the day after the show where the beer will on tap and we’ll be hanging out listening to Thin Lizzy or something.”

If unable to get your mitts on that one, there are plenty of new and returning fall releases to be had…

…From Dogfish Head on Facebook, “We’ll start shipping Pangaea and Olde School Barleywine to our wholesaler partners this week! All states where we currently sell will get Pangaea (TX will only get draft). Olde School will go to all states where we sell, except for GA, NH, OH, & TX.”

…From Half Acre Brewing‘s blog, “We’ve been monkeying around with a new beer called Wake Of The Flood over the last few weeks. The goal was to lean on some rye malt with this beer with a flash of pilsner malt, back it up with some crystal hops and serve up our take on a harvest beer. […] We’ll release it Friday when the store opens (12pm). This is draft only, so bring your growler so we top you off with this fall beer.”

Deschutes Brewery sent out a note that The Dissident has been pushed back to late November (from October) and that The Abyss won’t be released until December.

Oskar Blues Ten Fidy is back.

Oakshire Ill-Tempered Gnome returns this month.

…Finally, in today’s email newsletter, Pike Brewing announced the return of Auld Acquaintance.
