(Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewery has a Wild Dog Series release coming soon.

Flying Dog is bringing back its fourth batch of Dog Schwarz Smoked Double Lager. VP of Brewing Ops, Matthew Brophy, tweeted last Wednesday that the beer was “ready to be kegged” and that there will be “one pallet of bottle conditioned 750’s.”

In Brophy’s words, the beer is an amped-up hybrid of two German lager styles, Schwarzbier and Rauchbier. It’s not a beer that is meant to overwhelm the drinker with smoke/bacon notes typically found in Rauchbiers.
