Great Divide Brewing to introduce new brews in 2011

(Denver, CO) – Great Divide Brewing has been going nuts with new beers these last couple years.

With the brewery’s year-round and seasonal lineup taking shape, Great Divide doesn’t have as many new offerings slated for 2011 but does have a few “new” cards up its sleeve. According to a source, the year-round beers will remain the same but the seasonal program will see some tweaks including the Yeti variations being grouped together under a new “Yeti Series” umbrella. That may or may not translate into new/altered packaging. Here’s the schedule; each beer below is to be released around the first of the month next to which it is listed:

6-packs:

Colette Saison (Jan – Mar) -> certainly interesting to see a Farmhouse ale released in winter where this is traditionally a summer beer
Belgica Belgian-style IPA (Apr – Jun)
Rumble IPA (Jul – Sep)
Hibernation (Oct – Dec)

22 oz. bottles:

Grand Cru (Jan – Mar) – new beer -> “It’s in final development, but it’s looking to be a 10%+ ABV Belgian Strong Ale with some dark fruit characteristics…and perhaps some surprises.”
17th Anniversary (Apr – Jun) – new beer
New unknown summer beer (Jul – Sep)
Fresh Hop (Oct – Nov)
Old Ruffian (Dec)

Yeti Series in 22 oz. bottles:

Espresso Oak Aged Yeti (Jan – Mar)
Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti (Apr – Jun)
Belgian Yeti (Jul – Sep) – new beer
Oak Aged Yeti (Oct – Dec)

Finally, the brewery will bring back Whiskey Barrel Aged versions of Yeti, Old Ruffian, and Hibernation next year.
