(Longmont, CO) – Sexual innuendos abound here…
[10/5 Update: Jackman’s will be produced through the rest of this year but will be replaced by The Stranger next year.]
Left Hand Brewing will debut a new offering in 2011 dubbed, “The Stranger.” It’s an entirely new American Pale Ale recipe going year-round starting in February according to VP of Operations, Chris Lennert. It will be available in 6-packs and on draft. I’m trying to confirm what this means for the production of Jackman’s Pale Ale going forward (if it has any effect at all).
You can check out the definition for “the stranger” on Urban Dictionary. This won’t be the first beer with a name (or label) bearing a sexual connotation. A couple other examples include Sweetwater Big Ol’ Belgian Blue Balls and Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin. FW decided to re-name it to Velvet Merlin for bottle production, however.
