(Anchorage, AK) – Here is Part I of the Midnight Sun Brewing mega-update.

First off, Midnight Sun T.R.E.A.T. is now available on tap and in 22 oz. bottles in Alaska. It will be making its way to Washington, Idaho and California shortly. The Full Pint reports that “45 cases and 20 kegs will be hitting the state of CA alone.”

Beer description: “Intriguing doses of sweet spices, cocoa nibs and pumpkin transform an exceptional porter into a mesmerizing potion. Pour this tantalizing brew into a snifter and experience its many eccentric nuances, which will delight your taste buds. This is the same award-winning recipe that garnered a GOLD MEDAL at GABF in 2007. Formerly known simply as Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter, we’ve named it T.R.E.A.T.: The Royal Eccentric Ale Treatment.”

Next is Midnight Sun Trickster, a Belgian-style Pumpkin Ale. This beer turned out to be more of a trick than the brewery expected. It has been delayed a couple times now because of slow fermentation. It should be released on tap and in 22 oz. bottles in Alaska (AK only) beginning on Wednesday according to the brewery Twitter account.

Beer description: “OK, what do you get when we toss pale malted barley, pumpkin and spices into a stainless steel cauldron then stir in some magic? Uh, Trickster! The ‘magic’ is actually mischievous Belgian yeast at play with allspice, ginger and black pepper. This spooky cool brew will make your glass glow bright despite the gloominess of the season.” 7% ABV, 22 IBUs.

Third in line is Midnight Sun Berserker, the brewery’s 12.7% ABV Imperial Stout. This is scheduled for release in Alaska on draft and in 22 oz. bombers on November 26th. Bombers are scheduled to be delivered to California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho in December.

Beer description: “Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight. This version of Berserker Imperial Stout was aged in both red wine and whiskey barrels. The entire batch was brought back together before being packaged in kegs and 22-oz bottles.”
