(Kalamazoo, MI) – Some beer news arises out of Michigan..
After seeing World Class Beverages’ Bob Mack report on Twitter that Bell’s Batch 10,000 was shipping to Indiana next week, I shot off an email to Bell’s Brewery HQ asking for the scoop on what exactly Batch 10,000 is and, additionally, what the Two Hearted mini-kegs were going to look like this year.
Lo and behold, those very two subjects found themselves on Bell’s newly-revamped website (and blog) within the last hour.
Here is the beer description on Batch 10,000…to be the last beer in the ‘Batch’ series: “After combing through the catalogs of many malt and hop suppliers, our brewers used over 100 different malts, grains, and other fermentables, and followed them up with a blend of 60 different hop varietals between the kettle additions and dry-hopping. The resulting beer presents a deep, chocolate brown hue and offers roasted and caramel notes from the malts mixed with an assertive hop character. Sharply bitter, the beer possesses a full mouthfeel without being heavy and will withstand aging in your cellar, if you prefer.”
