(Corvallis, OR) – Let’s get figgy with it.

Block 15 Figgy Pudding weighs in at 11% ABV and has been packaged in 64 cases of caged and corked 750s. The brewery announced on Twitter this week that the release date is set for Saturday, November 20th. If you’re picking between this and the Hair of the Dog Matt/Doggie Claws release on the same day, the Block 15 brewers think this will be available for a while so there should be no need to try to fit in both (unless you want to…).

Label description: “Our holiday offering brewed with English pale and specialty malts and molasses. Matured in freshly emptied brandy barrels and conditioned with mission figs. Gently spiced with the world’s finest Ceylon cinnamon and whole nutmeg. ‘Now, bring us some figgy pudding!’ the carolers demand. We are pretty sure this ale is what they mean though you will will want to keep some for yourself.”

In other news, Block 15 recently reported some very interesting updates. In addition to some expansion news, Block 15 received its coolship and will brew a lambic very soon. Pappy’s Dark and Super Nebula have been brewed and are being split across 24 Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. Finally, La Ferme de Demons, the brewery’s triple barrel aged black Farmhouse ale with tart cherry and Brettanomyces, just hit taps this past weekend.
