(Cleveland, OH) – Great Lakes Brewing will introduce a new beer on shelves in 2011.
The new beer will be called Great Lakes Doppelrock. From btorsdog on Beer Advocate:
GLBC’s seasonal lineup will expand in Feb. 2011 with the introduction of The Dopplerock, which will be available in 4- packs and draft! Round and malty, our dopplebock (German for “double bock”) celebrates the style originally developed by medieval monks. Just as the monks appreciated this hearty brew in the late winter/early spring, we want you to savor the flavors of this rich beer along with our favorite pastime, rock and roll. ABV: 7.8% ABW: 6.2% IBU: 18.
Note: Blackout Stout will move to November in 2011
A mention on the Great Lakes Brewing website that this beer is “coming out next year” is enough of a corroboration for me. The brewery is offering the beer on a very limited basis right now; it won’t be around for long.
