Lost Abbey Amazing Grace, Cuvee de Tomme and other notes

lost-abbey-amazing-grace-small(San Marcos, CA) – News and notes from The Lost Abbey

Per The Lost Abbey website, the release of Cuvee de Tomme and Amazing Grace have been pushed back to Saturday, December 11th from 12pm to 6pm. Now that the beers are bottled, this date should finally stick after numerous delays.

The brewery’s Sage Osterfeld says that Cuvee will be sold in 375s for $15/bottle while Amazing Grace will be sold in 750s for $30/bottle. There is a four-bottle limit on each. The CdT, in particular, gave the brewery fits this year and the end yield was 16 barrels out of 60. Some of the remaining barrels may be blended into future beers and some could be dumped altogether.

Lost Abbey announced the results of its “T.E.A. party” earlier this month. As a result, TEA #6, Old Viscosity with Green Rooibos Plantain Coconut Tea (or some blend of it), will be re-released next year though not necessarily in bottles. If it is released in bottles it will be as Veritas 009. The winner, TEA #1, was released as Veritas 008 within the past week.

The Lost Abbey Inferno will be released in 375ml bottles shortly after Thanksgiving.

Finally, Director of Brewery Operations, Tomme Arthur, talks about the now-retired Brouwer’s Imagination Ale 2009 in an episode of New Brew Thursday. Watch it below.
