(Escondido, CA) – Here’s another quick update from Stone Brewing.
Earlier this week, I requested an update on the Europe search and also heard a tip on some Midwest distribution rumblings. If you missed Part I of the update on Double Bastard Ale and other things, check it out here. Here’s Part II:
The official word via Stone Brewing HQ:
“EuroProject: We are evaluating a variety of locations, and new possibilities are coming on the radar nearly every day. The location will, of course, set the course for many years to come so we are being very careful in the selection process. Currently, we are conducting due diligence on three sites: Bruges , Berlin, & the Southern Alsace region of France. That being said, there is no guarantee that the final location will be one of those locales.
MN: Indeed, we are researching the market and talking about potential with some folks.
WI: We are exiting the state due to challenges in keeping a volume flow that would ensure frequent shipments of fresh beer.”
/end official word
MO: Evan Benn of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported last month that Stone Brewing beers could be headed to Missouri next year.
Finally, the brewery has a nice webpage set up on events taking place during San Diego Beer Week including this Friday’s Rare Beer Breakfast. Details can be found here.
