(Portland, OR) – Widmer Brothers Brewing will release some new brand lines next year.
With today’s Q3 earnings release looming for Widmer Brothers and the rest of its CBA brethren, here’s some news regarding what to expect on shelves next year.
Widmer Brothers Galaxy Hopped Barleywine Ale will be the fourth beer to join the Brothers’ Reserve Series come next spring. This 9.5% ABV ale features huskless malt (often used to enhance clarity) and Belgian candy sugar according to the label.
Widmer Brothers will also be offering two new product lines: Series 929 and the Rotator IPA Series. 929 is an ode to the brewery’s street address, “929 N Russell St” in Portland. So far, Widmer Brothers Nelson Imperial IPA and Pitch Black IPA have received label approval for that line.
The Rotator Series will kick off with X-114 IPA and be followed by Teaser IPA, Shaddock IPA and Collaboration IPA. While it remains to be seen what the brewery has up its sleeve for the collaboration (perhaps it will involved the Collaborator program with the Oregon Brew Crew?), the first three beers have all previously been draft-only beers.
Also returning in 2011 is Widmer Brothers KGB Russian Imperial Stout.
