(Ann Arbor, MI) – News regarding a couple Michigan beer releases…

As reported in late October, Arbor Faricy Fest Irish Stout will be bottled and released as a winter seasonal from January to March.

Beer description per the website: “When this beer won gold at the World Beer Championships, judges described it thusly: ‘Dark coffee-like appearance with a creamy head. Medium-bodied. Mild bitterness. Peaty, smoky, roasted grain aromas. Rich and creamy on the palate with chalky, burnt flavors that never turn too dry through the smoky finish. A full flavored, smoky style with plenty of chocolate and espresso notes.’ Created by brewery owner Matt as a home brew to celebrate the life and honor the memory of best friend Michael Faricy on the first anniversary of his passing. (It’s a brewer’s nature to mark all important occasions and honor their favorite people with beer.) 4.5% ABV.”

In other news, Arbor Brewing releases its take on a Flemish red, Flamboyant Wild Red, in 750ml bottles today.

“Our interpretation of this classic Belgian style was created by aging Jackhammer Old Ale for 6 months in gueuze innoculated oak casks and then bottle conditioning for a minimum of two months. The result is a unique ale with a bright mahogany hue, moderate carbonation, and a burst of complex fruity, spicy, sweet-tart, and earthy flavors with a quenching acidity in the finish.”

Mor info on that event and others like the upcoming Espresso Love release party, set for December 7th, can be found on the brewery’s event page.
