Labels from Metro Brewing, Flying Dog, Hop Valley Brewing and Heater Allen Brewing…
Hop Valley Cascadian Noir
Label copy: “A Cascadian dark ale, fermented with Belgian yeast, then aged in Pinot Noir wine barrels for three months. The ale and oak combine to create hints of cherry, blackberry and cocoa. This artisan ale is rich, sweet and hoppy, with a silky smooth finish.”
Stats: 17.6 P, 76 IBUs, 5.9% ABV, 22 oz. bottles
Flying Dog Imperial IPA (Single Hop El Dorado)
Single hops are all the rage! El Dorado is a new hop variety out of Yakima-based CLS Farms but other than a trademark application, there seems to be little info out there about this hop. Victory Brewing used it in a version of its Pursuit Pale Ale. This one weighs in at 10% ABV.
Metro Iron Works Alt
This Chicago-based brewery specializes in lagers. No word yet on when it will be released.
Heater Allen Crush Pilsner
Here’s another one for Oregon drinkers. It looks like Crush Creative and Heater Allen came to some kind of partnership on the packaging for this 4.75% ABV Pilsner.
