…Here’s another teaser on what could become ‘Brand X’ at the end of next year, courtesy of the Dogfish Head blog: “The first photo shows us mashing in the organic purple prairie barley from Tibetan seed stock. This beer will also feature sour cherries and rhodiola rosea – a bitter citrusy tree root also from Tibet. Long before the English were making barley wines the Tibetans were making their version high in the mountains.”

Boulevard Brewing reports on Facebook that it is brewing a new batch of Imperial Stout. It is expected to be released as part of the Smokestack Series this coming spring. Also, Boulevard Chocolate Ale was recently bottled and will be released after the start of the year.

Boston Beer Co. finally (formally) announced Revolutionary Rye Ale as the Beer Lovers Choice 2010 winner. The beer will be released as part of the new American Originals 12-pack in January.

Sierra Nevada Brewing reports that the 2011 batch of Glissade is shipping the first week of January. Hoptimum Double IPA will be available in some locations beginning that same week and can be found at the brewery one week early.

…A new batch of Deschutes Red Chair NWPA has been bottled for its turn in the 2011 rotation.

…Per the Clown Shoes Beer blog, “Chicago has a green light, with beer scheduled to ship toward the end of January. Hoppy Feet 1.5 is on the second dry hopping and will be bottled next week, shipping between Christmas and New Years. Tramp Stamp Belgian IPA is in the tanks and should be ready to roll early in 2011.” The brewery is looking for new distribution partners.

…Finally, Arcadia Ales got a new label for Barrel-Aged Shipwreck Porter. This is the brewery’s “Balls Porter aged for six months in 10 year-old bourbon barrels,” according to RateBeer.
