(Kalamazoo, MI) – Some tidbits on Bell’s Brewery latest brew and a more…
Bell’s Eccentric Ale 2009 was released on Friday at a brewery event in which patrons were asked to dress up unusually. This year’s version of the annual beer is brewed with spices, maple syrup and hawberry syrup. Check out more info on previous releases in the Bell’s Eccentric Series.
A Beer Advocate member that picked up a case of the beer indicated that it costs $87 after tax and deposit.
MLive has been providing the best coverage on all things Bell’s as of late. Here’s a roundup…

…On Eccentric Cafe progress: “Since last spring, Bell’s has been undergoing an Eccentric Cafe expansion and renovation, which will add a large music performance room. But it’s not quite done yet. They hope to have it complete in mid-March, barring unforeseen difficulties.”
…On the brewery expansion: “Bell, who recently spent five days in Germany helping in the search, said work has already begun on engineering and designing the $17 million expansion. He expects to break ground in April. Huppmann [the winning contractor], which was acquired by GEA Brewery Systems in 2006, presented the best case of the four finalists, and its facility in U.S. was a plus, Bell said.”
Good man, nice label and apparently good pancake material.
